Without legal permission

One of our main tasks is to ensure that the supply of illegal gambling and lotteries is reduced.
We are not permitted to investigate suspected crime in the area of gambling and lotteries. But we inform the authorities whose task it is to solve crime, in other words the police and the prosecutor. This is primarily done via a police report. We also arrange training and inform other authorities about the jurisdiction in the area of gambling and lotteries. 

Fines if ban is not followed

We can also reduce the supply of illegal gambling and lotteries by simply forbidding natural or legal persons who do not have permits to set this up for the general public. Such a ban can also be combined with fines, or a so-called penalty. If the person complies with the ban, he/she will not have to pay any penalty. If the ban is not complied with, the person can be sentenced by the administrative law or the district court to pay a penalty. We cannot sentence anyone to pay a penalty ourselves. Such a decision must be made by a court.
